If you want to save money over buying a Monitor 4, or if you just enjoy building electronic kits, then you can purchase this kit to build your own Monitor 4 Geiger Counter.  The re-designed Monitor 4 Kit involves minimal soldering and assembly.

Also note that your kit provides for do-it-yourself calibration that will not rival the quality of calibration performed on a factory built Monitor 4, and instead give you accuracy of only ± 20%, versus ± 10% for the factory built and calibrated Monitor 4.

Along those same lines, in choosing to build the kit, you will not benefit from the warranty attached to the factory built Monitor 4.  Other than that, solder away!
