The Monitor 1000EC is an energy compensated radiation detector that measures Gamma and X-Rays. Perfect for most applications requiring an energy compensated detector.
Along with the MC1K, the Monitor 1000 is very high ranging for a modern Geiger counter, reading up to 1,000 mR/hr, which is about 10 times higher than a typical Geiger counter.
On the low end, the Monitor 1000EC is sensitive enough to detect background radiation, with a typical reading at sea level of about 5 CPM.
Users can choose from readings of CPM, CPS, µSv/hr, mR/hr, or in accumulated counts. It has a red count light, a beeper that sounds with each count detected, and includes an adjustable timer, and selectable alert. With the free Observer Software for PCs, you can automate and record readings for easy reporting!
